Trout Ponds
Various trout species swim in our three trout ponds. All caught fish may be taken home or smoked.
Rainbow Trout
The rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is the most common trout species in our ponds. Recognisable by the pink-red stripe along the side and dark speckles. Mild and soft in flavour.
Salmon Trout
The salmon trout is a rainbow trout that gets its characteristic orange-pink flesh through special feed, comparable to salmon. Excellent for smoking in our own smokehouse.
Tiger Trout
The tiger trout is a cross between the European Arctic char and the North American brook trout. Recognisable by the white edges on the fins and red and orange spots on the body.
Golden Trout
The golden trout is a striking golden-yellow colour variant of the rainbow trout. This colour form rarely occurs naturally and is therefore always a special catch.

Beluga Sturgeon
The beluga sturgeon (Huso huso) is the largest freshwater fish in the world. It is a predatory fish. An imposing appearance that ensures an unforgettable fight on the rod.
Diamond Sturgeon
The diamond sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) is recognisable by the striking diamond-shaped bony plates on its back. It is the fastest growing sturgeon species after the beluga.
Siberian Sturgeon
The Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) is recognisable by its elongated body and pointed snout. They are active bottom feeders that can be caught well on pellets.
White Sturgeon
The white sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus) is the largest freshwater fish in North America. A powerful fighter on the rod.
European Catfish
The European catfish (Silurus glanis) is the largest freshwater fish in Europe. It is a nocturnal predator. Well caught on worms, fish pieces or pellets.
American Catfish
The American catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) is more compact than the European catfish. Recognisable by its eight barbels and forked tail fin.
Mirror Carp
The mirror carp is a variant of the common carp with irregularly distributed, large shiny scales. Each specimen has a unique scale pattern.
Common Carp
The common carp is the original form of the carp, fully covered with small, regular scales. A strong and sporting fish on the rod.
Grass Carp
The grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) is a large cyprinid that mainly feeds on aquatic plants. Originally from East Asia.
